SINGAPORE: Day 1 AM

Date: June 15, 2011

To start off the short vacation we planned for months to Singapore, we spent the morning of the first day with my godson,Yohan and his beautiful as ever mother, Nang Irish.

I smiled at him when we entered their home and as is normal with Godmothers, I wanted to run to my Godson and hug him to pieces. But the thing is, the very first time I went to see him, he was fast asleep and he was still a pretty little babyboo. So, I was a stranger. But I still went on to hug him and give him a peck on the cheek but as was expected, he didnt want the affection from a total stranger… waaaahhhh!! He cried!!!

I went on to bribe him with my pasalubong but it wasn’t that tempting for him. It took time, a good 30min to an hour for him to get to be accustomed to our faces. He must have thought, “Mommy is talking to them, they might be acquaintances” ..

We played, we counted from 1 to 20, we identified colors and then body parts… this was the most fun.. hehehhehe… He would beckon for our attention and show us something. We saw a picture of an umbrella, he said they have umbrellas and he went on getting it from their drawer. Such a cute kid. Very smart. Not that much attentive as you may observe (all kids have short attention span) but he gets it. He is like a sponge. He absorbs everything that is being given him other than food. He doesnt eat that much. All he was asking for was MILK..

We went out for lunch to a Japanese restaurant where we ate and Yohan played… More stories. More sharing. I knew more about baby Yohan.. I’ll try to visit you once every year or once every two years baby. I’ll try to make that happen.. Who knows, we can be near each other in a year or two….

We ended the trip with baby Yohan and Nang Irish sending us off in the MRT station… Buh-bye baby boy… Bye Nang Rish.. See you again soon!!!
