The 2012 Zambales Escape with Medical Girlfriends et al

9 May

Last week I was saying that I have not been out of the house for a while that was why I went to that outing with Shang. But for the last 2 week-ends, I may have been busy with trips and it seems that I will be that for the next few weeks or so.

A few days ago, I went to an out of town trip with my sister and her friends from work along with their family members and extended friends. I needed the break. When I learned of  how much we had to shell out to join the gang, I was having second thoughts. I don’t have that much extra cash for leisure. But the picture of the beach came to mind and the calming sounds that comes with it; these factors made me decide to go.

A lot happened and I think I was not really myself at all because the whole time we were there, I lacked sleep. The same situation I am as of this writing. :D

There are a lot of things to share but I can’t really tell you all of it without pictures to accompany them. So far, I have seen only one album and from that,  the below picture is what I really really liked most. My sister, me and Lira (Vergarah! – inside joke), right to left.

More stories to come when I get good pictures. :D

One of those rare occasions: Sunday funfare with Shang!

5 May

It is very rare nowadays for me to be out of the house because I dont really have the moolah to be of liberty to go around and enjoy myself all the time. But this instance, I think I initiated the meet up because its been really a while since Ive been with a friend. The initial plan was for us to meet for coffee in Shangrila EDSA. I cant remember how it happened but we decided to meet in Cubao earlier to get tickets for Game 4 of the PBA Finals (BMEG vs Talk ‘N Text), then go to UP to see the sunflowers, eat some lunch, and then head back to Araneta Coliseum for the game. :D

After getting the tickets, we went to UP. When we got to the entrance to the University, we saw that the sunflowers were all withered. Shang, you can always come back next year. I think the time has got something to do with it. It was so hot that day that I was really expecting the flowers to wilt. In the mornings, I believe they will fare better because of the dew. :D

The next part of the itinerary was to get lunch. We went to my favorite place in UP Diliman, Chocolate Kiss. :D

The succeeding part of this post is more of a photo bomb. :D

Shang had the Chicken Kiev.

I had the smokey spare ribs. <3

We had the dessert sampler. Devil’s Food Cake, Kahlua Butter Cake, Carrot Cake, Dayap Chiffon Cake.

If you go to UP Diliman, you need to have a photo along the circle. :D

Me!!!!!!

Carillon Hall

I saw this while we were crossing the street for the ride back to Trinoma. I asked Shang to take a photo.

Souvenir!!!!

Excited first timers!!!!

During the warm ups, I took this photo of Shang. Narcissist much. :D

Game time!

I refused to have the customary cheesy photo but Shang insisted on taking this picture.

A very big crowd that night. Amazing!

Less than two minutes before the game ends, with Talk ‘N Text in the lead, Raymundo planted an elbow to the neck of Urbiztondo. Urbiztondo tried to retaliate but he was stopped by a team mate. Devance on his way to the Bench flicked the ball he was holding in the face of Raymundo, who got back by delivering a punch that landed on Devance’s nape.
2 people were ejected from the game.
Tim Cone was tripped by a referee and he landed on his butt.
Tim Cone walked out the game with roughly a minute left of the game. On his way out, he stopped by coach Chot Reyes and shook hands with him.

Since this is my blog, I decided to place my picture as the last entry. :D

Day Summary:

On the UP trip. Though we weren’t able to see the sunflowers in their full bloom and eat the 23-php footlong sandwhich that we intially wanted to eat for lunch, the day was super fun. I enjoyed the long walk around UP Circle while trying to find a restaurant that Shang wanted to visit (I forgot the name) and found the new scenery very refreshing.

On the game. The game was exhilarating for me. It has been a while since I was that excited. When we got there, I was rooting for no particular team because it was technically the first game of this season that I have seen. I ended up liking Talk ‘N Text more because of Dillinger and Fonacier. Dillinger because he was so good in this game. I love all the effort! Fonacier because he is so smooth in delivering his three-pointers. :D

Let me not forget the company. Shang is one of the best treasures I have found in Emerson. Super friend. :D I hope we get to do this again soon Shang!! :D I think the time we had was not enough for all the “chika” that we have yet to talk about. :D See you again soon, hopefully this Sunday for game 7. :D

Big Bang ALIVE World Tour 2012

22 Apr

There are restrictions in the internet access in the office so I have not been virtually present for the past two weeks. The only things I can access are the news and Wikipedia.

And I have been under the weather lately because I had KPop fever. When I’m home, I was on youtube most of the time, watching 2NE1 TV, Big Bang, and YG Artist Performances. I was also into reading biographies of Korean artists that I am very fond of. I was also discovering new artists through my wave mates and my sister who had been a KPop fan since she was in college.

Because of the influence that these artists have on me right now, I have pushed saving for my Europe and US fund further into the future because I want to go to Korea first! I also want to go to one of either 2NE1 or Big Bang’s major concerts!!!! (Faney Mode On!)

As the day progresses, I discovered I can open other sites in the office. One day I simply went on to lookup names and I was able to access entertainment news.

This is two month’s too late but I want to share! :D

More of the news regarding this in link.

After the kick-off concert in Korea they went to Vietnam! After reading the news and seeing the pictures, I was wishing they make the Philippines as part of the tour. And then I received this link from my friend Junnace.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:

Jeju Airlines is also sponsoring Big Bang’s Japanese and Asia Tour, starting next month. Big Bang will be boarding these planes with their staff as a group to go on tour. For the Asia tour starting in October, in Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam, they will be not only promoting, but there will also be a Big Bang Concert Travel Package.

Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh!! Im excited for October! After reading through the article, I responded to her tweet. I told her that earlier that day I was thinking of checking ticketnet for tickets for the show. :D

I really hope this will materialize. I’m so EXCITED!!!!

Im a G-Dragon Fan

7 Apr

I must admit that my sister was the first one to see something special in Kwon Ji Yong or more popularly known as G-Dragon, BigBang’s leader. My initial pick from the group was Tae Yang because of the RnB vibe. I loved his song “I Need A Girl” but not to the extent that I considered him a crush.

As I have said in an earlier post, I am currently obsessed with YG artists and because of this I came to appreciate and know more about each member of the group. And as I read further and watch videos about them, little by little GD captures my heart (cheesy! but he did!). Now I am a major fan though I’m not really sure if I’ll be the kind who will memorize the lyrics of his songs. I find Korean a little tough. :D

See how cute GD is!!!

My Current Obsession

7 Apr

I have not been watching nothing lately but stuff about YG artists and more specifically 2NE1 and BigBang videos. Yes, other than the training, this is mostly the reason for the absence of updates from this blog.

It all started with the special Strong Heart episode that I watched with my sister and Izza. It was Lee Seunggi’s last episode of the show and they had the YG Family as guests. Earlier that day I was being coaxed by my sister to open a link for her. She wanted to watch the show using my computer. Then I was busy downloading tv series episodes and I was also in the process of composing an entry for this blog so I was unmoved and beyond reasoning.

That night after dinner, we were supposed to go for a swim but they decided that they will do that after watching something. They have left the computer streaming a video before we went down to eat so that it will be ready by the time we got back. I was not minding this talk at all but when they started watching it, I would peek from time to time and was eventually sitting beside them watching the 5 cuts of the first part of the show.

Here is the first link.

We watched this a week ago. And today, I learned from my sister that the second part is already available.

The links are here.

And now I’m all over an addict again.

Watch this 2NE1 song I love and this BigBang song from their recent album. :D

My Batangas Escape

28 Mar

This was the weekend I was invited by Ate Mayzelle on a trip to her hometown, Sta Teresita Batangas. It was a great experience, one close to home.

She went to fetch me from my apartment at 9 in the morning. There was a little bit of drizzle going on that day. But it was not that strong though it continued in our voyage from Manila to Cavite to Tagaytay and finally to Batangas.

We made a detour to Dasmarinas, Cavite because that is where Ate Mayze’s auto shop is. She told me she tried having her car maintenance done in Toyota’s Macapagal branch but the service was not as efficient as the one in Cavite so she decided to go back there whenever she needs the service.

That was where we head first. We left the car there and went directly to SM Dasmarinas. We went around a little and discovered that there was already a Mango Outlet store in the mall. We spent a minimum of an hour inside. Ate Mayze bought a really nice dress and I was able to buy a chunky corporate necklace. We were also planning on watching a movie but the thing was, most of the cinemas at that time were showing something that either Ate Mayze or I have watched already so we went to check what was on in Robinsons. There was something there that neither of us have seen so we settled for that. I remembered it was a feel good movie. I will edit this post as soon as I remember what it was. :D

After four or five hours, we went back for the car. We were not able to leave immediately. It was close to an hour before all the papers were done. And then we were on our way. Since we were already in Cavite, the best route to get to Batangas was through Tagaytay. It was close to dinner time already so we made a short stop again for dinner. We got dinner from one of the establishments at the Cliff House, Buon Giorno.

My Angry Bird pouch was very useful that day. I used it for my cards, money, phone and some other things. It was one of those gifts that was given to me by my Mameh Macky. :D

Buon Giorno being a French restaurant always gives complementary bread. They are awesome when dipped in the special vinaigrette concoction that guests can make by using the available condiments that are staple to all the tables. I love love love the breads.

This was the awesome seafood pasta.

And this is the equally delicious New York’s pizza. I dream of the day that I try the authentic ones. :D

This was in the room where I stayed. I was told it was Ate Mayze’s brother’s room. I don’t know what the rotating knob was used but the toggle switch was for the light. We arrived at the house around 8pm and it seemed that everybody was abed already. And they really were. Ate Mayze’s mom was actually up because she was waiting for us. Her father was already in their room, sleeping.

I stayed up for a bit, watching TV with them. We also went through some old photograph albums of their family because Ate Mayze was trying to find a picture when she was still a child. The mother and daughter literally went through memory lane and I was a fascinated spectator.

The surrounding was so serene that I was able to sleep comfortably. You see, I have this problem sleeping at other people’s houses and I am also an insomniac but this time I did not have any of those. The next day we went on a trip to the local market. Sta Teresita does not have its own market. I am not really sure but that was the impression I got because we had to go to the next town to buy some supplies, have the LPG gas-tank and car tank refilled.

That trip was a thrill. I chose to come with Ate Mayze’s mother to the wet market. First stop was to buy some authentic Batangas coffee beans. I opted to have them crushed right there and then because we don’t have that at home and I don’t know if the local wet market at our place offered that kind of service.

The next stop was at the fish area. Look at what I found! There was no hesitation when I decided to capture this picture. It was one great photo opportunity that I did not really want to pass up. They were selling sting rays. Sting Rays!

We made a lot of purchases after this but one of the memorable one’s that I bought was the Suman sa Lihiya. I do not have any picture of it but if you personally come to Batangas, buy some because if you dont you will be missing something that should not be missed. Suman sa Lihiya is MASARAP materialized. :D

Thank you Ate Mayze for this opportunity of experiencing your home and meeting your parents. I hope we can do this again soon! <3<3<3

Rose Gold Rose Ring

3 Feb

I have seen rose gold, in some of the blogs I follow, for two seasons already. Had an earring of that color but my Mom liked it so much that I had no other choice but to give it to her. She followed me while I was on my way out of the house, just to remind me of the earring! I had to give it away even though I really really liked it.

Anyways, this post is for another reason. A few days ago, somebody important to me told me that she was on the hunt for a good wedding band. I told her there is this new kind of gold in the market and its so pretty! She asked me what and I told her of the new gold, rose gold. She asked me what it was and i told her that it was pinkish gold. She begged off as soon as I mentioned pink. I forgot, she doesnt like pink. :D

Anyhow, even though she doesnt like it, I continued to do the quest because of my obsession with rose gold. And common, those close to me will know that I love JEWELRY!

I went on to google “Rose Gold Ring” and one of the offerings really caught my eye. Its not the first one on the list but rather was positioned on the bottom part of the first page. Here is that beauty I first saw in this site .

Folks, here is the Anita Go Gardenia Ring. 18karats of rose gold crafted into perfection encrusted with 2.05karats of white diamonds.

The girls I am most with these days may have observed that I really really like flower rings, especially rose rings. This one being rose gold and designed to mimic a rose in full-bloom makes me want it more! The little chunks of baby diamonds are like icing to the cake. What more can one ask for?

Love love love the details!!!!

This was the initial image I saw and immediately fell in love with it.

The size in not that small to go unnoticed and not that big to consume the person wearing it. :D

The back and bottom details shows that it was not just designed to be beautiful but sturdy as well.

I cant really afford this ring, that I acknowledge even without really knowing how much it costs. But who will stop a girl like me from admiring a beauty such as this ring. :D

PS: This is my very first page post under the new page I created a while ago. I hope to continue to do this for a very long time. Sometimes I really have to write about all the beauty I see around me or even on the virtually accessed world wide web. I had fun doing this post and I hope you did too while reading it!

Love love!

A dog story that made me cry

28 Jan

I am following  a lot of blogs, local and not. One of the many I visited today is Divine Lee’s blog.

From her many posts, I read those which are under her “tagged” post. And one of the new ones today is her post about her dog Oreo. In the middle of reading the entry, I was already choking with tears. I have been in this situation when I was a lot younger. My best friend left me. He was named Bordagul.

I cannot remember when it started but there came a point that he came with us in our trips to school every morning. When we get off the vehicle, he knows that he wont be permitted inside school premises and that he has to get back on the vehicle and continue the journey with our Mom to our store. At night, he will again be with Mom in the trip back to our house. Every day of the week, this was the routine.

One  day, when I got home from school, Mama told us that Bordz is no longer with us. A vehicle ran him over and he didnt survive it because of his fatal wounds. Mom said that he was crying all that time and was licking his wounds trying to stop the bleeding. I was  crushed to pieces and have not picked myself up since then.

I avoid having any relationship with our dogs at home. I have not budge even with great efforts from them to be closer to me. I dont want to love another pet and then cry my heart out when I lose him/her eventually.

Reading Divine’s post is live re-living my days with Burdagol. Reading her feelings about her dog is like reading a journal which I personally wrote.

My fluffy little baby: OREO

19 years ago, I was still in school I got the coolest gift ever. Well, gift for myself. I got a dog! I always wanted my own one, we had a couple in the house but d akin yun so medyo deadma ako.

I wanted a show dog! One with long hair so I can put ribbons and pretty dresses. I still remember the day when I went to the breeder. I wanted a black and white one! Yung walang bahid na brown kasi bet ko ang color blocking na vivid. haha! kidding aside, i really wanted a pure black and white one. So during my search for the perfect pup, i found one! The best black and white pup in the litter. Unfortunately, ayaw benta kasi chaka daw. No joke, that’s what the breeder said. He’s a runt and they don’t feel comfortable selling him to me (bagets pa ako so sabi nila iiyakan ko kung mamatay sya). But as a hair fanatic, i loved his hair and insisted to get the pure black and white dog. They allowed me to take him home and just pay for the shots and doctor. So in short, parang libre na.

When I got home, i was a bit disappointed. Oreo could not walk and chaka ng ipin so i had to mash his food so he could eat. Most dogs walk in a few days/weeks depending on the breed, but Oreo took 6 months. Inavail nya talaga. He wasn’t the pretty dog i expected him to be, naglagas pa yung buhok. But kahit chumachaka sya… super lambing naman so it made up for everything. For his frist day to 6th months old, i had to feed him by hand. SO bad owner na kung bad, mahilig sya sa table food kasi sinasabay ko. And he’s sanay to stay home lang kasi nga hindi sya marunong maglakad. He started moving first by “swimming” on the floor then eventually nakalakad din and started eating on his own.

By the 2nd year, bongga na sya. Yung nalagas na buhok gumanda na and i was able to put ribbons na on him. He was always there for me. I know na paguwi ko, there’s someone super excited to see me. Kahit 10 minutes lang ako nawala, the minute i walk in the door akala mo tumama sya ng bingo sa talon.

When i was in college, sinabay nya rin yung body clock nya. Every morning, we would be by the door waiting kasi kasama sya sa pagalis ko. Alam na nya yun. When I finally got my own place, i got busy :( I would still play with him but not as much na. May room na ako, before kasi one bedroom lang house ko so he would sleep with me. Minassacre nya rin kaya yung carpet so sa new house may area nalang sya.

But kahit d ko na sya pinapansin as much, never syang nagbago. Still excited to see me. No fail yan. Kung isususlat ko lahat ng ginawa namin together, kukulangin ang blog na toh.

Last year, he got sick and I really thought it was time. Doctor spoke to me na to get ready and all but of course hindi ko kaya. I begged and prayed to keep him well and he bounced back. V got me liempo. He said he wanted me to be ok if ever Oreo needs to go to doggy heaven na. Syempre, hindi ko sineryoso. Liempo surprisingly became Oreo’s bestie kahit may isa pa akong dog. Para syang big kuya, to the point na si Oreo yung pinagaagawan ni Liempo and Coco. They made a good team :) Super cute relationship.

Last December, Oreo got sick again. More like he’s weak na. 19 years old na sya which is rare for a shih tzu. But kahit poor hearing, blind and no more teeth, super excited parin yan whenever he would see me. So when he got sick, i begged him.. wag naman paabutin mo naman sa birthday ko. He got better. All the way til my birthday. All the way til I got home from Bali.

Last week, manang said Oreo won’t eat na talaga. So bumalik kami sa day one nya. When we had to mash his food and spoon feed him. He was just sleeping narin. And obvious na pagod na sya. He’s not sick though, just old.

Monday was becky nights day. I had that urge to just carry him around the whole day. Tahimik lang sya, but everytime i would call his name, he would try to react kahit mahina na pandinig nya. He would breath hard and try to move. I was crying na, niloloko na ako nila Jake or maybe they were trying to cheer me up. I knew it was time to let him go. I brought him to the room and talked to him. I told Oreo that he can go. Bilin nya na kay Liempo and Coco lahat. Keri na nila yun. Make sure to bilin coz i would need his love when he’s gone and sana naturuan nya yung dalawang bagets.

Today, Oreo left for doggie heaven. I feel bad. Im still crying buckets but in a way not as famas as i would expect. He prepared me. Up to the end pinagbigyan nya ako. Pati birthday ko. So parang unfair na if I hold him here longer. When the doctor said that Oreo or Owyo is gone na. I dropped my meeting and rushed there. I made sure he was clean and brushed nicely, fixed his cremation and waited for them to pick him up. The end na pala talaga yun.

My heart is crying, my eyes are swollen but I guess I’m ok. Masyado nya naman pinakita gaano ako kalakas sa kanya. Pinagbigyan nya ako paulit ulit. He lasted 19 years.

God works in mysterious ways. The other day, my lappy storage disk became full. Ang kulet ko sa twitter how to upgrade. Hindi naman sya sira, in short wala naman sakit. But i had to let go of some files. Finally, after resisting for years, i transferred some files to an external drive. I let go. Parang funny na ginawang sign for me yun.

Oreo’s not sick, parang full lang ang storage or life span nya. Sinulit nya. So he has to go na talaga. And mommy just needs to accept. Like how i accepted the extrenal drive.

Looking back, pagyayabang ko na Oreo is the pinakamabait na doggie in the whole galaxy. Walang cocontra. That’s it. He gave me joy na hindi ko mabibilang or maquantify so sana talaga nabilin nya ng bongga sa dalawa. Malakas naman ako sa kanya and he never failed me so I’m quite sure he did. Tama nga yung breeder when I first got him, IIYAK LANG AKO PAGNAWALA SYA. OO, but these tears are nothing compared to the joy he gave me. SO keri lang kahit umiyak pa ako bukas, next week or everytime I think of him.

Sa lungkot ko i started searching the net for doggie after life. And i found the RAINBOW BRIDGE. Here it is.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

Author unknown…

Crayola na naman ako. But medyo nakangiti na. Because it allowed me to visualize Oreo well and happy. And naisip ko na hanggang dun, excited parin sya makita ako :) And in a way, parang push narin yan na magpakabait ako para sure sa heaven ang bagsak so on my way makikita at sasalubungin ko sya.

Oreo, kahit minsan ang baho mo talaga. Ikaw na. I love you so much. When i finally have my own kids, i wished na magka-oreo sila. A pet who would maximize his life para may kasama silang lumaki. Enjoy ka muna dyan sa Rainbow bridge and wait for me :) Make sure they put BLUE RIBBONS. Sabihin mo bet ko lang nakaribbon ka but lalake ka talaga. Or becky siguro. D mo na chika sakin :)

Sorry for the super long post. It’s 3.30am and I’m still crying. Keri na toh. Baka may wifi si Oreo dun, mabasa nya sana. Thank you for the 19 years.

Love you OREO :)

Much love,

D

I am a KPop Fan!!

8 May

Yes, you’ve read the title right, I am a KPop fan! Who wouldn’t be? It all started with the Meteor Garden (Taiwanese TV series) craze. I did watch the show. I was in college during the first run and in order to catch the daily weekday installments, I have early dinners (late afternoon) at the restaurant just below our dormitory. They have the best pork barbecue that side of town and on top of that they provide free TV! It was hard since there were limited seats and this particular place is always packed to the brim. I could have done this in the comforts of our room but the landlady in our apartment did not allow us to bring in TV’s because as she said, it can affect our studies. So I’ve learned that the trick was to eat slowly. Hard it was not to devour the tastiness of the home-style cooking immediately but I was forced not to, all for the love of Dao-Ming-Zu.

T he fondness for the show consumed me. I was printing pictures of the boy group that was featured in the telenovela as they fondly call the TV series (that is the name in general but to be specific they call it Mexicanovela if it’s from Mexico or Koreanovela if it’s from Korea.) I paste it on every object I can have them on: bags, books, notebooks, organizers, walls, bed posts and many others. I don’t know if anybody noticed but I would not be surprised if no one did since I am not a “loud” fan, I show that I am in my own little quirky ways.

The boy group was called F4 or Flower Four. It was composed of four guys namely Ken Chu, Vic Chou, Jerry Yan, and Vanness Wu (I had to Google the names because I just know how to pronounce it but have never memorized the spelling.) Although they were a group, they each have their solo careers as well. This is how they package their artists, they are not only limited to the group they belong to when they were launched, they can be known as a solo artist also. Being different artists and personalities, each of the four guys have their respective followers, and as was previously mentioned, I heart Jerry Yan (the one who played Dao in the TV series.)

After the series ended, I was not given the luxury to watch what followed Meteor Garden. My sister did; she finds the time. She was my constant source of information. When she went to Manila for good, she even brought the DVD’s that she had at home. I watched some and ended as hooked as she was. Most of the movies I saw were from Korea so I researched for a site that can supply me with the Korean movies and series. The first site that I knew of was CrunchyRoll but eventually, I have watched everything that was in it. The site does not only include the series but was also a host to a lot of videos such as that of Japanese manga animations. Then I went to find another site and that was when I stumbled upon MySoju that hosted Taiwanese, Korean and Japanese movies and TV series.

It was heaven for the addicts. I could not enumerate the movies or series that I have watched because I cannot remember them anymore. The two series that I was hooked to later on were The Last Prince and Full House. I told my sister of the site and from then on, I’d be the first one to go to sleep while she was watching a movie or a series, the next morning I’d wake up to the same set-up, she’d still be on it. That routine went on for some time.

There was a period where in my sister and I weren’t living together. When I came back to be with her again, she was very fond of Korean music. She was the one who introduced me to 2NE1 and Big Bang. She made me listen to the music she had copies of and watch music videos on YouTube. What initially piqued my interest was the fact that Sandara Park, a former PBB teen edition housemate, was part of the girl group 2NE1. She was the second placer to the aforementioned reality TV contest spin-off brought to the Philippines by ABS-CBN (one of the current three giant networks in the country.) I fell in love with the whole group, totally respecting their individual styles and another thing, I was always impressed with the outfits in videos and shows; kudos to the stylists! A trivia that I just want to share, the stylists of girl groups in Korea are males and for the boy groups, females. My own understanding in this strategy is, the males knows what they want to see women wear and the women have the most idea on what they want to see men wear. Good thinking!

This is somehow a very long introduction to the real gist of this post. I admit I am very wordy so it really takes me a lot of time before I can make another post. There is always the introductory part and the finale that I always want to be part of my every article. Most of the time, the articles would end up in my drafts folder and stay there for a while. I have one post that I got the chance to finish and upload after a year of being a draft only.

Last Saturday, April 30, 2011, we went to Eastwood, Libis to watch the Korean guy group 2A.M. The truth is I don’t have the slightest idea as to who they were, what their songs were and how they look like. Blank. What made us go was, our housemate Izza was a fan.

Here she is with my sister.

This is the crowd when we arrived.

Look at how Izza worked her way into the crowd.

Those calves were made for some purpose. :)

While Izza was craning her neck and flexing most of her leg muscles just to have a glimpse of the Korean guys, my sister and I were on a photo-op mode.

Izza wanted to have a photo with the aerial projector screen but there was too much light (against the light) that made it impossible.

So she went on to pose with this poster instead. (Fan na fan lang)… :P

I will be posting the video that I took of the guys performing in my YouTube account. I’ll share the link by updating this post or creating another post for that video alone.

We can’t really blame the Filipino’s for being hooked to these KPop groups. The building of a single artist in Korea is not just an overnight process; they invest so much on every artist. Years and years of trainings are what they usually undertake, honing their talents and skills. When they decide to launch these artists to the consumers, they surely sell!

Besides the development of “the person”, they also invest much on every project that they decide on. They do months after months of practices and recordings for a single song. They really make it a point that everything is well polished before presenting it to the public, and they sometimes have multiple videos for a single song! I have so many observations of the good practices that Koreans do that the Filipino music industry can adopt (thank you to 2NE1 TV for all the things I’ve learned.) If you aren’t a KPop fan yet, give it a try. Listen to them sing!! Even if you don’t understand the lyrics yet, you can surely groove along with the beats of Hip-hop, sway to the rhythm of the RnB, and have your heart melt to the moving feel of the ballads. J

As a lighter ending to these KPop fandom post, let me share what we saw after the mini-show. We decided to go on a stroll. We walked around the Eastwood mall and early in that walk, we bumped into this cutesy-patootsy-honeypie of a dog named Trixie. She was at first hesitant to interact with her admirers but she eventually posed for our camera. :) :)
